DAHW, DIGILOG PROJECT CREDITS & REMOTE HYBRID STUDIOS

DigiLog Audio is developing DAHW, a workstation built for digital and hybrid mixing. Its goal is to make advanced plugins, complex routing, hardware inserts and professional analog studios easier to access and manage inside one coherent workflow.

DIGILOG PROJECT CREDITS

DAHW will introduce DigiLog Project Credits. Each credit will activate one complete DigiLog project with up to 150 tracks or sources, allowing users to work with Drum Stage, Band Stage, Choir Stage and Orchestra Stage directly inside the workstation without immediately purchasing every full license. Full licenses will remain available for producers who want to use the plugins in other DAWs, while Project Credits will support a project-by-project workflow inside DAHW. DAHW Core is planned as a free entry point and will include 5 DigiLog Project Credits.

REMOTE HYBRID STUDIOS

DAHW is also being designed as a collaborative platform connecting artists, producers, mixing engineers and studios equipped with real analog hardware. The aim is not simple remote control, but a shared DAHW session in which different professionals can work on the same project with distinct roles. Artists and producers will be able to follow musical decisions, balances, editing and automation, while the mixing engineer can physically manage patchbays, converters, preamps, compressors, EQs, summing systems and real hardware chains in the studio.

PROJECT MEMORY AND RECALL

DAHW is intended to preserve a technical memory of each project: routing, inserts, levels, phase, latency, automation, hardware chains, panel photographs, session notes and printed audio. Future measurement and hardware-recognition tools are intended to help document connected equipment and create a useful digital representation for recall. The goal is not to replace analog hardware, but to make it more documentable, recallable and easier to integrate into a digital workflow.

A NEW DIGILOG DSP ENGINE

In parallel, DigiLog Audio is researching and validating a new DSP engine for its plugins. Development is focused on spatial realism, source management, interaction between tracks, room response, phase, transients, depth and Stage efficiency. The objective is to make DigiLog plugins increasingly coherent, efficient and credible in both in-the-box and hybrid mixing.

DAHW points toward one clear direction: a workstation that can connect digital production, DigiLog plugins, shared sessions and real analog studios, creating an operational bridge between artists, producers and mixing professionals.

DOES GREAT MUSIC COME FROM GREAT PLUGINS?

Not really. A great plugin can help a great production, but music starts long before the mix.

It starts with a song, an instrument and a musician who has spent hours, days and years learning how to play. It starts with a microphone capturing a performance, an amplifier, a preamp, an audio interface and all the small decisions that shape a recording.

Technology is important, and we love it. But technology is not what makes the difference. You do: your ideas, creativity, experience, imagination, ears and soul.

Our goal is not to replace any of that. Our goal is to provide tools that help you focus on what matters most: the performance, the production and the emotion.
